On June 11, 2026, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industry, National Plant Quarantine Services Division (DA-BPI NPQSD) proudly conducted the Battle of the Brains as part of its 48th Anniversary celebration, carrying the theme, “Innovating Plant Biosecurity to Anchor Philippine Food Security.”

Knowledge in Action. Ideas in Motion.

The Battle of the Brains brought together bright minds eager to learn, collaborate, and take on new challenges. Through friendly competition and meaningful exchanges of ideas, participants demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking—proving that learning extends far beyond the classroom.

More than a contest, the event served as a platform to inspire innovation, encourage collaboration, and foster a deeper appreciation for the role of science and plant biosecurity in strengthening Philippine food security.
