In celebration of the International Year of Plant Health, the Bureau of Plant Industry- National Plant Quarantine Services Division conducted a Workshop on Plant Health Awareness on February 10-13, 2020 at Doña Jovita, Bagong Kalsada, Calamba, Laguna. Thirty-five Plant Quarantine (PQ) personnel from PQ stations nationwide participated in the said workshop.

The activity aims to prepare the team for the nationwide conduct of the awareness campaign through seminars in schools, local government units, farmers, cooperatives and other stakeholders on plant health and its contributions to promoting sustainable agriculture, protecting the environment, and facilitating economic and trade development.

Standard presentations for each target audience were designed which will be used by the Plant Health Awareness Focal Group in the campaign program.
